Senior Technical Accountant (SEC Reporting)
Job description
As a key member of the Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting team, the Senior Technical Accountant will be responsible for accounting analyses under U.S. GAAP for unusual or complex transactions and activities, preparing financial information for internal and external reporting, and assisting with ad hoc accounting or reporting projects. The ideal candidate has exceptional research skills and the ability to apply accounting guidance to specific transactions, excellent written and oral communication skills, and thrives in a dynamic and high-growth environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research accounting literature and prepare accounting analyses to support complex or unusual business transactions and activities such as equity and stock-based compensation, capitalized software development costs, business combinations, debt, and revenue recognition.
- Contribute to the accounting close process with accruals in technical areas and memorandums documenting analyses in areas such as segments, goodwill and intangible asset impairment, and related parties.
- Prepare schedules supporting financial information and disclosures in our Forms 10-K and 10-Q and other SEC filings (e.g., Form 8-K, proxy).
- Perform XBRL tagging in applicable documents.
- Draft financial information and analyses to be included in internal communications (e.g., management, board of directors).
- Maintain the GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and ensure compliance with FASB and SEC reporting requirements.
- Evaluate new accounting standards and reporting regulations, assess the impact on the company's financial reporting, and support timely implementation.
- Interact and coordinate with external and internal auditors on technical accounting and reporting matters.

- 3+ years of cumulative technical accounting and financial reporting experience required
- Big 4 public accounting firm experience required
- Bachelor's Degree, in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA license required
- Exceptional technical accounting research skills and familiarity with accounting research tools
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in actively drafting and preparing SEC filings, including XBRL tagging
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet tight deadlines
- Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and changing environment
- Motivated, reliable, adaptable, keen attention to detail, organized, accountable, able to work autonomously
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred

This position pays a minimum base salary of $88,000 + Bonus/Commissions + Equity + Benefits. The actual compensation offer will be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, and experience.
