What to Expect

As a Technical Recruiter or Sourcer for Tesla Engineering Recruiting, you will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and closing the best engineering talent in the fields of Robotics, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Deep Learning, Large Scale Neural Net Training, Computer Vision and Distributed Software Engineering. We want someone who thinks outside the box and takes a non-traditional approach to identifying attributes we hold dear at Tesla: problem solvers, team players, life-long learners who are passionate about our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Most importantly, this person will unearth top talent and will support rapidly growing divisions and leadership teams. This position will be fully on-site at one of Tesla's office locations across the country. We welcome candidates who are located outside the Bay Area and are located in, or open to relocation to one of the following office locations: Fremont, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Bellevue, WA; Austin, TX; Reno/Sparks, NV; Draper, UT

What You’ll Do
  • Identify and engage qualified passive and active technical candidates for roles across Tesla’s Vehicle Engineering, Vehicle Software and Autopilot organizations.
  • Manage the sourcing process, ensuring high-touch candidate experience and the ability to communicate a deep knowledge of Tesla's technical business as well as that of the hiring client group.
  • Engage as the subject matter expert and serve as an advisor to internal clients with regards to technical staffing best practices.
  • Utilize multiple sourcing channels and develop innovative and effective sourcing strategies to ensure a qualified and diverse candidate pipeline.
  • Conduct the initial recruiter phone screens to sell candidates on Tesla and ensure they meet qualifications
  • Make recommendations to improve sourcing processes to help us operate more efficiently at scale
What You’ll Bring
  • At least 5 years experience in technical sourcing or recruiting with experience assessing technical talent in one or more of the following fields: Robotics, AI, Deep Learning, Large Scale Neural Net Training, Computer Vision, or Distributed Systems
  • Proficiency in traditional and unique sourcing techniques to include online social and professional networks, in addition to demonstrated ability to source beneath the surface
  • Experience partnering with a senior technical recruiting and hiring team to strategize on identifying and closing top-tier candidates.
