Overview:
Responsible to support many aspects of the Bank’s Treasury-related functions for publicly-held holding company and its wholly-owned bank subsidiary. Primary responsibilities include daily monitoring of the Bank’s cash position as well as affiliates, monitoring account balances related to correspondent bank relationships, borrowing funds overnight, transferring funds when necessary, monitor daily derivative positions and valuations with counterparties, prepare margin calls for collateral as needed, monitor daily stock buybacks and prepare buyback reports as well as DWAC shares and wire forms to settle trades. Prepare monthly and quarterly Board, ALCO-CMC and ALCO-RCM packages. Monitor and pledge collateral as needed. Assist and/or back-up critical Treasury functions in the absence of SVP/Treasurer and/or VP/Senior Investment Analyst. Communicate effectively with counterparties and other departments within the Bank and provide data when needed.
Responsibilities:
Daily Cash Management: Continue accurate daily research and monitoring of the bank’s cash position and its affiliates. Monitoring includes the account balances related to correspondent bank relationships. Transfer funds when necessary. Borrow Overnight and Short Term when needed.
Board and ALCO Reports: Continue to accurately prepare timely Board, ALCO-CMC and ALCO-RCM packages on a monthly and quarterly basis for Treasury and at other times on an ad hoc basis.
Derivatives & Hedging: Continue to accurately monitor daily derivative positions and valuations with counterparties, prepare timely and accurate reports and wire forms for sending/receiving margin call collateral, along with monitoring Advance/Brokered CD maturities to maintain hedge effectiveness for each hedge.
- KRNY Stock Buybacks: Continue to monitor daily stock buyback transactions, prepare timely and accurate reports and prepare wire forms sending cash to settle trades. Insert accurate information from the trades into the Accounting department’s spread sheet. Prepare DWAC forms and maintain buyback logs and communicate with the Transfer Agent.
Monitor and pledge collateral as needed for GUDPA public deposits, FHLB Advance repos and FRB Discount Window. Communicate with FHLB safekeeping staff and Accounting department for any collateral movement.
Brokered CD’s: Monitor CD maturities and confirm interest payments when due. Prepare wire forms for both interest due and maturities, as well as initiate communication to set up new Brokered CD’s with branch and Accounting department.
Back-up to critical Treasury Functions: Assist as necessary to back-up critical Treasury functions in the absence of SVP/Treasurer and/or VP/Senior Investment Analyst. Treasury functions covering the periodic and ad hoc reporting, communicate with Corporate Finance in regard to the investment portfolio reconciliation, valuations, P&I payments or securities calls/redemptions, as well as FHLB Advances, Brokered CD’s, and other borrowings, maturities, redemptions and calls. Communicate with Third Parties in the absence of the SVP/Treasurer regarding Treasury-related data and information.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent.
- Five years related experience or equivalent, but more desired.
- Advanced PC application (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point), Business Analytics and other internal systems.
