Cvent recently re-entered the public markets and is seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President/Vice President, Investor Relations to join the team. This role is a senior leadership position reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for developing and executing Cvent’s investor relations strategy. The ideal candidate will have deep experience developing and executing comprehensive and proactive investor relations strategies for fast-growing, SaaS technology companies, possess relationships with key investment banks, equity research analysts, and investors in the SaaS space, and experience with communicating with shareholders, the general financial community, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain positive relationships.

In This Role, You Will::
  • Manage the investor relations budget and vendors
  • Oversee the quarterly earnings process and annual shareholder letter development, including preparation of prepared conference call materials, transcripts, and press releases, potential analyst Q&A, setting dates/times, conference call administration, follow-up calls and meetings, working in partnership with Finance, Legal, Communications and outside parties, as well as providing input for regulatory filings
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the investment community and the Company
  • Build, deepen, and broaden relationships with key analysts, investors, and senior management team, identifying new and potential investors in the Company’s stock
  • Educate key stakeholders about the Company’s strategy and financial model and responding to inquiries in person, over the phone, 1:1 and in group settings
  • Lead the Company’s participation in industry conferences and road shows and prepare any Company presentations in support of those activities
  • Synthesize investor feedback, sentiment, and questions for the benefit of the company’s senior leadership team and Board of Directors, helping frame potential responses and/or disclosures
  • Provide business, financial and market intelligence to the senior leadership team, identifying industry trends, shareholder concerns and competitor actions that might impact the Company
  • Maintain awareness and expertise regarding peer company and sector developments, including coverage of comparable company analysis, benchmarking, competitive analysis and peer-company earnings reviews
  • Review all external disclosures, including those filed with the SEC, for material errors and consistency with the company’s message
  • Lead investor trips with key executives to pro-actively engage with investors, analysts, and other relevant stakeholders around the world
  • Manage the Company’s investor relations webpage and preparation of relevant presentations and publications
  • Coordinate with treasury for debt issuance road shows, ratings agency presentations/updates and engage with debt investors as needed
  • Prepare and maintain the Company’s investor presentations
  • Periodically provide updates to the Company’s Board of Directors on the Company’s investor relations strategy, activities and results
  • Manage the Company’s analyst and investor days
  • Ensure that all information available on the Company from research coverage firms and other data sources (CapIQ, Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.) are accurate
  • Provide monthly updates to executive management on investor relations activities
Here's What You Need::
  • 15+ years of experience in investor relations, corporate development, finance, or corporate strategy, including 5+ years of experience in a public company investor relations function
  • Computer Software industry experience highly desired
  • Well versed on SEC regulations and areas of critical sensitivity, such as financial disclosure
  • High energy level with a hands-on approach combined with the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly articulate and able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner
  • Superior conceptualization, analytic, communication (both oral and written), project management and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate financial results and complex issues into concise and credible messages is critical
  • Confident, calm, focused demeanor that manages well in a challenging and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing external relationships with the financial community (buy side and sell side)
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across senior-level management of the company
  • Business maturity coupled with the highest integrity
  • A true collaborator who maintains a balanced view of the business and can effectively push back with senior management, providing candid, honest assessment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
