Located on eighty rolling acres, in picturesque Rappahannock County, Virginia, Blue Rock is a new take on the classic country inn. Breathtaking views overlooking a Koi pond set against a backdrop of vineyards and the Blue Ridge Mountains, create the perfect environment to have a glass of wine, delicious dinner, or throw a dream wedding.

We are seeking energetic, friendly and highly motivated individuals with a passion for providing exceptional customer service. We strive for total guest satisfaction by delivering the highest quality food and drink using the freshest ingredients available in a setting that is warm and inviting. Blue Rock is currently accepting applications for Servers.

Essential Functions:

· Greet all guests promptly and with a genuinely friendly disposition

· Attend to the needs of all guests in a professional and courteous manner

· Write food and drink orders according to guest’s request

· Operate the point-of-sale system

· Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items in order to respond to guest inquiries

· Prepare and serve beverages according to the time and quality standards

· Deliver food orders and execute proper food placement at all tables

· Bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant

· Polish and roll silverware

· Transport plates, bowls, and glasses from dishwashing area to cooks line (lift 50 lbs.)

· Replenish condiments, as needed

· Maintain the expo area and wait stations

· Assist in seating guests and answering the telephone, as needed

· Perform appropriate opening and closing duties

· Handle cash and credit card transactions according to procedures

· Observe state and federal laws regarding the service of alcohol

Requirements:

· Positive attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service.

· Excellent communication skills—verbal and listening!

· Willingness to learn, and to uphold standards of excellence at all times.

· Action oriented with a high sense of urgency.

· Ability and willingness to follow directions precisely.

· Ability to exert moderate physical effort, including standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting of weight of up to 50 pounds, repeatedly.

· Must be able work on your feet for up to 8 consecutive hours and carry supplies up and down stairs without difficulty.

· High personal standards in regard to professionalism, attire and grooming.

· Flexible schedule and availability to work weekends and late nights.

· Ability and willingness to treat others with kindness and respect in an environment free of harassment and discrimination.

Qualifications:

· Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not necessarily required for motivated individuals who possess a teachable mentality with interest and dedication in learning a new skillset.

· Attention to detail and thorough practice in all work.

· Friendly and respectful communication with co-workers, manager(s), and guests

· Proven effective time management skills.

· Willingness to operate within a true team environment.

· Excellent attendance record
