SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION

REPORTS TO: Manager on Duty

Position Overview:

Servers are responsible for providing patrons an enjoyable dining experience by providing exceptional quality customer service. Servers are responsible for taking food and drink orders, and communicating with guests and coworkers to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting and welcoming guests, as well as, introducing yourself as their server in a warm friendly manner.
• Taking and processing all food and drink orders in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring all orders are accurate and brought to the table in a timely manner.
• Memorizing and making suggestions to guests on menu and drink items; as well as daily specials.
• Assisting coworkers in delivering food to tables, as well as, setting and arranging tables to accommodate larger parties.
• Inform and work with management immediately to address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience.
• Practice and be aware of responsible alcohol consumption.
• Up-sell desserts and drinks as appropriate.
• Communicate orders with kitchen staff and bartenders whenever a clarification is required.
• Properly present and process all checks and to THANK THE GUESTS for dining with us.
• Completing all assigned side work and other duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Must possess a passion for making people happy!
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate a restaurant POS system.
• Must be TIP certified.
• Dependable and timely.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry dishes/glassware.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to carry large trays of food in a fast- paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a friendly outgoing personality under pressure.
• Ability to provide exceptional emotional control in a fast -paced environment.

MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT USED:

• Standard restaurant equipment including but not limited to coffee makers, beverage dispensers, ice machines, POS systems, telephones, etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma and /or GED
• Minimum of 2 years -experience preferred in full- service restaurant.
• A passion to work in a team environment to ensure an award winning experience for our guests.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.25 per hour
