JOB SUMMARY:
This position will focus on the consistent delivery of meal service in each community.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting and seating residents in the dining rooms
• Setting up the dining room for meal service
• Taking food and beverage orders from residents
• Delivering food to tables
• Clearing the tables after meal service, cleaning and resetting tables
• General cleaning of the dining room kitchen after meal service, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning of counters, tables, chairs and other surface areas in the dining room
• Loading and unloading of the dishwasher- knowing proper temperatures
• Follow through on personalized table service as designated by the community you are working in. Steps of Service.
• Some minor kitchen food prep work as needed.
• Proper dating and labeling of food items.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
ServSafe Handlers Certification required after 6-months (Provided by Heritage).

KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS / EXPERTISE:

• Must be pleasant, courteous and possess a positive attitude
• Must be dependable and honest
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Must be able to resolve customer issues without hesitation
• Knowledge in food preparation and safe handling practices highly desirable
• Restaurant and/or banquet experience is highly desirable

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Able to stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time
• Frequent walking
• Frequent bending and lifting, squatting
• Occasional use of stairs
