Job description
Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving the guests in a friendly and efficient manner. They play an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. Servers passionate about food and service and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our guests. Almost every task falls within the servers skillset, and they are ultimately responsible for their stations. Our servers need to be experts in our food and beverage service and they need to bring our menus to life with appealing descriptions including preparation, ingredients and cooking methods.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Concept Introduction/Menu Tour
- Greeting Guests
- Taking the Order
- Marking
- Quality Checks
- Bussing/Table resetting
- Beverage Refills
- Drop Check/Processing Payment
- Drink Running
- Napkin Service
- Table Crumbing/Floor Awareness
- Beverage Service
- Floor Circulation: Reading guests, clearing, drop & Go
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
- May be required to lift trays of food or drinks up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Must be able to facilitate a 25-person table section
- Full Vaccination against COVID-19
Skills / Experience:
- 2 years previous high-end restaurant or hotel experience
- California Food Handlers Certified
- Experience with food and wine pairing
- Excellent listener & communicator
- Ability to focus on guest interaction and multitask
- Understands sequence of service and coursing
- Has worked with Micros or an equivalent POS station
