Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie is looking for the best service advisors. Up to $5,000 sign on bonus depending on experience and starting availability. We recently promoted our top advisor to manager and now there is a big hole to fill. We have a shop full of experienced and hungry technicians, a full book of appointments and solid processes.

Automotive Service Advisor Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain information
• Serve as the liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; entering RO into service database system.
• Provide the client with an accurate estimate of repair or maintenance cost, and/or a minimal diagnostic fee with explanation of associated cost, detailing problems and pertinent information, and secure client authorization of repair or service.
• Reynolds and Reynolds experience a plus

Automotive Service Advisor Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 6 Months Experience in Customer Service Position
• Fluent English--Bilingual a plus
• Automotive Knowledge Preferred But Not Required
• Quality Focus, Productivity, and Problem Solving
• Strong Teamwork and Communication Skills
• Out-going personality with experience at developing relationships
• Can work in a fast-pace environment, are organized, and can manage time efficiently
• Must have valid driver's license
