Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Administer end-user workstations and support end-user activities.
- Investigate user problems and identify source; determine possible solutions; test and implement solutions.
- Install, configure and maintain personal computers, file servers, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices and systems; add, upgrade and/or configure disk drives, printers and related equipment.
- Perform software and application installations and upgrades.
- Maintain software and cloud services licenses for departments and organizations.
- Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational issues.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
- Assists personnel of other departments as a technical resource.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school in a related field preferred.
- Information Technology skills, including Microsoft Office, Windows, TCP/IP and VPN.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations issues.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
- Physical Requirements: Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, crawl and reach. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.56 - $30.16 per hour
