Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the ServiceNow Developer is for development, design, and configuration of ServiceNow applications and modules.

The ServiceNow Developer will lead development of no-code/low-code applications on the ServiceNow platform and build ServiceNow coding integrations and configurations for ITSM, ITBM as well as additional modules that may be added later on.

As a ServiceNow Developer you will provide day-to-day support of the ServiceNow system (all system components, instances, and modules). You will be a major part of an integrated team driving and supporting current and future operational needs. This will involve communication and collaboration with colleagues and teams with our vendors, and around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop external application integrations using Web Service APIs
• Create and maintain ServiceNow configurations, including workflows, orchestration activities, and scripts
• Work with business managers to generate reports, dashboards, and views as needed
• Work in a Scrum-based, Agile development process that is light on documentation and meetings and heavy on coding
• Work with business & IT users to identify and refine business requirements and workflows, as well as determine where ServiceNow can fit into business processes to improve services and translate requirements/stories and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with the implementation project team
• Develop across the full stack of Web technologies - React, Java, Angular.js, CSS, HTML, JavaScript
• Maintain, update, and enhance ServiceNow environment including forms, service catalog, self-service portals.
• Configure the Application UI and workflows on the ServiceNow platform and Service Portal
• Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, staff, and other employees so that issues are well understood as they are resolved
• Utilize available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
• Follow new releases, attend seminars, training, and applicable certifications
• Provide subject matter guidance regarding ServiceNow in-system and custom applications.
• Participate in internal knowledge sharing and collaboration activities and initiatives.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires computer-related degree with 5+ years’ experience working on information technology program/projects including active ServiceNow System Developer certification. Must be able to clearly communicate business and technical concepts clearly to the appropriate audiences. Must be able to manage multiple program/projects of various sizes concurrently. Must have a strong understanding of information technology concepts, business practices and processes, excellent communication, and leadership skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 2+ years ServiceNow API development
• 2+ years Working on an Agile team
• 2+ years ServiceNow Service Portal development
• 2+ years Enterprise ServiceNow and/or IT Service Management experience
• Basic understanding of the purpose and implementation of Agile, Lean, and/or DevOps methodologies
• Experience with SDLC
• Skilled in HTML, JSON, JavaScript, AngularJS and other scripting languages
• Experience working with ServiceNow Performance Analytics
• Working with business analysts to meet with stakeholders to flesh out requirements
• Skills in assisting customers in a professional manner
• Experience with understanding user requirements and translating them into technical solutions
• Skills in problem solving; including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate a course of action
• Ability to act independently and with a global team on routine assignments or program/projects
• Ability to work on weekends and evenings if needed
• Ability to balance an endless number of personalities and have the capacity to understand their individual needs
• Ability to develop long-term roadmaps for ServiceNow usage and implementation
• Ability to learn and understand new technologies, practices, processes, and business concepts
• Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner
• Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level accuracy
