Primary Location:
  • Candidates can originate from anywhere within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States, you will work remotely from home or personal office location
  • All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.

Job Summary:
The Servicing Lead is charged with overall operations management for servicing the PA Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) portfolio and supervision of a staff of up to 5 team members. Work within the Department's mission of encouraging home ownership and careful use of client's financial resources; and DCA's divisional goals of collection and recover funds for the Federal Housing Assistance (FHA) Program.

The Servicing Lead is responsible for the delivery of IEM’s PA HAF Program goals and objectives and to maintain the progress, mutual interaction and various tasks in such a way that reduces the risk of overall failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs.

Essential Functions:
  • Customer service: Develop and Maintain relationships with program client, program applicants, and vendors (mortgage servicers).
  • Explanation of policy to outside agencies and applicants.
  • Monitor delivery of data to/from mortgage servicers via CDF file process.
  • Payoff statements, lien releases, subordination applications, short sale and other loss mitigation applications.
  • Management of different Program Applicant statuses: Bankruptcy cases, foreclosures cases, tax sales, and claims for excess foreclosure proceeds.
  • The HAF Servicing Manager must know and comply with Federal mortgage servicing regulations for State of North Carolina and Federal Consumer Federal Protection Bureau mortgage servicing regulations which encompass over 12 Federal consumer protection laws.
  • Collaboration with Program Delivery Team to achieve client objectives.
  • Other remote duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three (3) or more years of professional level project experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate necessary criteria with mortgage lenders and other housing service providers.
  • Must have the discipline to create clear and attainable objectives and to see them through to successful completion.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
  • Experience with process improvement and inventory control.
  • Advanced time management skills which utilize high-level strategies that aid staff in managing time, productivity, and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proficient with Excel and able to learn new software applications.
  • Able to work hard and have fun in a fast-paced environment with a diverse, remote team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Advanced degree or certification in relevant field
  • Experience with CDBG, HAF, and/or HHF programs or similar programs/projects
  • Strong background in processing CDF document formats
  • Six (6) years of experience in the mortgage servicing industry in collections, loss mitigation, foreclosures, real estate owned or experience in default housing counseling, to include one year of management experience in any industry.
