PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES ARE:

1. Perform all duties of a team leader.

2. Assume supervisor duties upon absence.

3. Oversee daily operation of all rotational molding machines.

4. Ensure safety procedures are followed and enforced.

5. Alert oven crews to quality issues.

6. Assist ovens in running according to production schedule.

7. Expedite rush parts and orders.

8. Work with Assembly & Finishing Departments to solve molding defects.

9. Oversee mold changes are performed according to production schedule.

10. Train new oven operators and provide continual retraining.

11. Assist Shift Supervisor in motivating employees.

12. Work and effectively communicate with mold shop to correct mold defects.

13. Inspect all molds for defects and missing parts.

14. Coordinate emergency repairs with the mold shop.

15. May be assigned to perform other duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Continuous walking or standing.

• Occasional lifting of heavy molds in 0 to 35 pound range.

• Occasional reaching, bending, pushing/pulling, and crouching/stooping.

• Ability to work in a continuously hot environment.

• Must be able to work full time on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL / VISUAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate.

• Good peripheral vision.

• Near and mid range sight is essential.

• Color discrimination is required.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT

• Troubleshooting ovens.

• Training for proper usage of crane.

• Thorough understanding of Mapics.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR MATERIAL

• Assure machines have all necessary supplies.

• Track all necessary oven components in inventory.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY

• Operate equipment according to safe operating instructions.

• Report every injury to the Shift Supervisor no matter how minor it may seem.

• Maintain a safe working environment for the oven operators.

• Write up maintenance request forms and submit to maintenance.

• Shut down and report any dangerous operations that may arise.

• Report all safety concerns to the Plant Manager.

• Know locations and function of safety switches.

• Know alarm system and evacuation plan.

• Know location of nearest fire extinguisher.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR HOUSEKEEPING

• Assure housekeeping is maintained at all ovens.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS

• Assure that employees are mentally and physically fit for a good days work.

• Ensure that standard procedures are followed for work instructions, safety, and quality and report any violations to a supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY EQUIPMENT

• Must wear eye protection.

• Must wear safety shoes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma

• Must be able to read and write.

• Must have basic understanding of product prints.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years of Team Leader experience.

• Ability to motivate employees.

• Self-motivated.
