Advanced Compounding Solutions (ACS) is a division of New England Life Care (NELC).

ACS is a specialty drug pharmacy compounding service which serves most of its member hospitals. We provide a wide variety of commonly used compounded medications, in bulk packaging, at a competitive rate, and offer best in class quality, safety, and service standards.

We are currently hiring 3 full time Shipping and Labeling Technicians.

Monday – Friday either Days 7:30am – 4pm or evenings 3PM – 11:30PM

NO weekends or holidays!

Under the supervision and direction of a licensed pharmacist, the person in this position is responsible for labeling compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) following standard operating procedures (SOPs) set forth by current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). They are also responsible for shipping finished goods to customers, maintaining the compounding suite, ordering stock medication and supplies while adhering to proper documentation practices throughout the process.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepping APIs for compounding the next day
• Accurately label product, clamshells, polybags, UV polybags
• Assists the pharmacist(s)/quality team in the process of labeling, cleaning, and monitoring in the compounding suite.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify and understand the variable compounding modalities. Understands the need to consult with the pharmacist or quality team if questions / concerns arise.
• Accurately labels and ships CSPs in an efficient manner according to SOPs. Preparation includes lifting and transfer of heavy bags of fluids or totes. Repetitive motions while labeling are to be expected. Working with needles and sharps is required. Ability to work with hazardous materials and chemotherapy is required.
• Accurately packages and stores products prior to shipment to customers.
• Maintains pharmacy and clean room in a clean, organized and well stocked manner according to SOPs.
• Accurately receive and document all inventory (for RX and QA), stock and rotate inventory and assists in inventory counts.
• Warehouse maintenance and organization; noting stock locations when needed
• Packages and ships products via U.P.S., USPS, FedEx and courier when necessary. Tracks packages as required. Accurately track product with online platforms (UPS, FedEx, ECC, Consortiex).
• Accurately produces shipping documents including packing slip, correct product, quantity, shipping container, and outer shipping box.
• Assists with inventory management functions involving purchasing and receiving drug shipments as well as computer system inventory maintenance.

• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instruction provided in written, oral and diagram formats required.
• Ability to recognize variations and follow appropriate protocol for reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and customers required.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks and lift moderately heavy items
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• Dependability in attendance and job performance required.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.
• Experience with shipping preferred.
