Responsibilities for the Shipping and Receiving Associate:

• While performing any procedure, all associates and contract personnel must observe applicable Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental rules and guidelines.
• Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
• Actively participate in clean initiatives and culture.
• Load product onto trailers, and unload raw materials and supplies for production use.
• Verify all products received meet all qualifying criteria:
• Verify all products shipped meet all qualifying criteria:
• Fill out and check accuracy of paperwork for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive purchase orders into business information system.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Perform re-packaging of product from one container when required.
• Assist in organizing inventory, both raw materials and finished product.
• Perform inventory and cycle counts.
• Assist in training other production associates in the area of shipping and receiving as needed.

Qualifications for the Shipping and Receiving Associate:

• Competent / comfortable with use of information technology.
• State accredited high school diploma, GED, and / or comparable work experience.
• Knowledge of production procedures.
• Basic math skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 60 pounds and manually move product

Physical Demands for the Shipping and Receiving Associate:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The associate occasionally is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate is frequently required to stand and walk.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Mental and physical dexterity to facilitate machine operation and physical ability to obtain respirator clearance.
