As a Shipping Clerk, you will use your skills, energy, and positive attitude to deliver exceptional service to our customers. You will be responsible moving products from storage and getting them ready for delivery to their next location. The primary role is to gather inventory and wrap it up for shipping, but you may also assist with other warehouse tasks like putting items in the correct place back on the shelves or loading finished packages into delivery trucks. This position will also require providing customer service for our internal and external customers, assisting with orders, account questions, billing, order entry, shipment tracking and order cancellations.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Shipping & Receiving, Assembly, Inventory Controls and Purchase Orders.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies
- Collaborate and communicate with customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products
- Track, trace, and update the status of outgoing shipments
- Maintain accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately
- Engage with co-workers, vendors, and drivers with a positive attitude
- Provide additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments
- Print pick tickets, separate priority ship by and be responsible for bin transfers
- Ensure that the Fulfillment department is accessible and safe for employees and visitors
- Sweep, dust, and organize warehouse and work area
- Use sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Use computer system to record quantities of materials or items received or distributed
- Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders
- Prepare parcels for mailing
- Ability to lift 60 lb. boxes
Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
- Scanning and sorting outgoing stock
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
- The ability to multi-task under tight deadlines and a strong sense of urgency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude, flexibility, patience, and problem-solving skills are required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Aptitude for mathematics a plus
- Forklift certification a plus
Education and Experience:
- 3 + years of Shipping or Receiving experience, preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Thorough and accurate communication

- The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 60 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
