Basic Responsibilities:

Performs computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

Manages all outbound shipments, including scheduling and routing LTL shipments, and arrangement of transportation services. UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively.

Prepares shipping documentation, including bills of lading.

Signs in/out incoming/outgoing trucks.

Switches to 10 & 12-hour shifts during peak season, usually November & December.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old
• Pass a drug screen
• High school graduate or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Dependable attendance
• Attention to detail & ability to identify, evaluate and problem solve.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Reading, interpreting signs and short correspondence, shipping documents, and memos.
• Basic math skills, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Computer skills including Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• 1 year+ experience performing administrative tasks in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and follow verbal and written instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, reach, crouch, crawl, use force, carry, & push/pull occasionally
• Ability to lift <25 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to apply manual dexterity and specified visual acuity
• Ability to hear forklift horns and clearly speak the English language via radio
• Some areas require PPE & may cause occasional exposure to higher temperatures
