Cabinetworks Group has an immediate opening for a Shipping Supervisor in our Duncanville, TX facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership to develop a cohesive team built on mutual trust and respect. Seek to facilitate “win/win” results in all problem-solving activities.
  • Train, instruct, supervise and evaluate employees to insure proper performance of work and conformance to established control procedures.
  • Stipulate maximum productivity, enforce safety and housekeeping rules and insure that all other rules and regulations are followed. Administers discipline as required to ensure compliance. Takes corrective action to prevent accidents.
  • Originate measures designed to improve and control production methods and efficiencies, equipment needs and performance and facility layout and utilization.
  • Assure that team members are always aware of their performance levels through daily communications as well as annual on time formal appraisals.
  • Establish and maintain work center budgets.
  • Select, promote, transfer and otherwise treat team members fairly and equally.
  • Performs all other duties as required.

Complex; established procedures in process and development

RELATIONSHIPS OUTSIDE WORK UNIT:
Exchange of information that occasionally deals with sensitive or controversial matters on a frequent and recurring basis. Must work with Production and Logistic managers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. REGULAR ATTENDANCE is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing software systems.
  • Continuous improvement training such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Exposure to systems controls such as ISO 140001.
  • Green Belt Certification or comparable problem solving certification.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
