Fresno Client is currently in need of Shop Helpers

Summary:

This is an entry-level position to work in a metal job shop whereby providing assistance with production related activities for the creation of parts. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their abilities to work hard and collaboratively at the direction of the manufacturing cell leaders. Someone in this position must be able to work independently or with other employees to perform various tasks. The individual should have good communication skills and be able to operate within the company’s values, safety policy, quality policy and quality of work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Required to take direction from lead personal and able to work in a variety of different positions on different days

• Operate a forklift while obtaining all company safety policies and procedures
• Could be sent on deliveries, errands, or to order/pick up equipment and/ or parts.

Job Requirements:

• read a tape measure
• operate a forklift
• have knowledge of different types and gauges of material
• utilize hand tools and power tools
• deburr and grind parts
• load and unload parts
• help set and reset parts
• Must be mechanically inclined

Pay Rate will depend on experience $16-$18/hr
