Position Summary

Under minimal supervision performs assembly of Electric Submersible and Horizontal Equipment, including pumps, motors, or motor seals according to customer needs, following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.

Job Functions/ Duties (may be assigned other duties by management)

§ Assembles Submersible / Horizontal Pumping System products (Pump / Intake, Motor or Seal) including installation of moving parts, such as shafts, levers.

§ Assembles product following the Engineering Process, Procedures and Drawings

§ Operates a variety of equipment to assist in assembly operation, including but not limited to drill presses, punch presses.

§ Mounts and connects auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment; cuts and fit pipe.

§ Sandblasting

§ Assembles product according to the daily production schedule requirements

§ Shimming ESP pumps, seals and gas separators.

§ Inspects and measures work using rule, micrometers / gauges, and/or templates.

§ Count and record quantities of material, supplies, and tools taken from yard.

§ Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.

Qualifications/Education Requirements

§ Use and read basic measuring tools

§ Ability to drive/operate loader and forklift

§ Knowledge of and skills in mechanical problem diagnosis and repair work

§ Knowledge of equipment types and components

§ Welding experience preferred

§ Prior experience in oil field related jobs desirable

§ Knowledge of practices and procedures of the department.

§ High School diploma or equivalent required.

§ 1 year of shop experience preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Continuously required to move about the facility

Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Work is mostly in non-climate controlled environment

Continuous standing for long periods of time

On call required

Exposure to shop and field elements such as noise, dust, odors and temperature variations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, and safety shoes while in shop environment.

This is a safety sensitive position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.77 - $28.91 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Shop: 1 year (Preferred)
• Oil field reated: 1 year (Preferred)
