Job Description:
Driving vehicles from the port on public roads to our facility
Major Accountabilities:
- Strictly follow Subaru of America's vehicle handling guidelines
- Act a vehicle spotter for fellow associates moving units
- Perform a walk around the vehicle before moving (flat tire, other damage not noted)
- Maintain a safe distance between other vehicles when driving.
- Drive defensively. Obey all local traffic laws and speed limits.
- Stage the vehicles in the appropriate area / lanes per your Shuttle van driver's direction.
- Parking vehicles on line, leave keys in vehicles, doors unlocked, windows, sunroofs closed, lights off, and seat covers on.
- Maintain a clean Shuttle van and work area.
- Adhere to established quality, environmental local and safety standard.
- Perform duties in other areas as required.
- Complete understanding of direction given and yard flow process.
- TWIC Card.
- 20 years of driving experience.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Preferred
- Ability to read and write.
