About This Role


The Simulator Technician must be a highly-motivated, self-driven team player able to perform in a fast-paced environment. The Simulator Technician will participate in field modifications, prototype-build assembly/installations, and repeat-build assembly/installations of flight simulators.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use production orders, wiring diagrams, assembly and/or installation drawings, parts lists, and other written instructions to assemble, modify, and/or install cables, components, or assemblies
  • Document and escalate all discrepancies in production orders, wiring diagrams, assembly and/or installation drawings, parts lists, and other written instructions
  • Work closely with engineering support staff to troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and best practices including 6S and lean work principles
  • 50-60% travel required

Job Qualifications:

  • Associates degree, equivalent technical training, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, parts lists, and wiring diagrams
  • Work individually with little guidance as well as cooperatively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Resourceful/problem-solver
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Strong initiative
  • Lifelong learner
  • Skills needed: solder, crimp, splice, strip, secure wire bundle, mark/label, route cables, hand tools
  • Skills preferred: drill press, grinder, sander, saw, paint
