Hourly Single Skill MOLD MAINTENANCE
Requirements for Manufacturing/Production Operators:
Position requires 6 months experience in injection molding maintenance.
Must wear all required PPE (ex. bump caps, safety toe shoes, safety glasses) and other PPE items that situations, locations or tasks may dictate (ex. Masks, ear plugs, harness, gloves, aprons, etc.).
Must have safe work practices in work environment.
Good mechanical skills/ aptitude.
Demonstrate ability to assemble and disassemble molds following work instructions.
Have a basic understanding of tooling drawings for mold assembly and disassembly.
Be self-motivated and work with minimum direction.
Pass vision screening.
Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of materials (25 - 35 lbs.); routinely 50 lbs.
Walk, stand, lift, bend and reach regularly.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance to molds
- Assemble and disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and drawings
- Perform model changes to injection molds
- Perform EOP inspections of molds at machine side
- Prepare required documentation (i.e. maintenance mold trouble reports, P-Charts, parts request, etc.)
- Ensure proper verbal/written communication with the other departments in regard to mold activities.
- Report problems or questionable conditions to the department Leader, Coordinator, or Supervisor
- Maintain the work area/equipment in a clean/orderly condition
- Perform all job duties per OSHA guidelines, safety rules, and housekeeping requirements
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
