Sun Country Airlines is seeking a SOC Duty Manager to manage the daily flight schedule across these lines of businesses within the System Operations Center, to ensure operations are conducted in a safe, coordinated, and cohesive fashion, while maintaining full compliance with applicable government regulations, labor contracts, and company policies & procedures.

SOC Duty Manager Overview:
This role is responsible for managing the daily flight schedule across these lines of businesses within the System Operations Center, to ensure operations are conducted in a safe, coordinated, and cohesive fashion, while maintaining full compliance with applicable government regulations, labor contracts, and company policies & procedures.

The qualifications we are looking for in a SOC Duty Manager include:

  • Proactively manage the daily flight operations within the System Operations Control Center to ensure the daily operations are conducted in the most efficient manner, while ensuring safety and compliance requirements.
  • Effectively coordinates the daily flight schedule with both internal and external customers.
  • Strives to maximize utilization of our fleet and synergistic lines of business by coordinating with Crew Services, Dispatch, Maintenance Control, Maintenance Planning, Charters and other stakeholders on cancellations, consolidations, special stops, delays, ferry flights, extra sections, and other matters of day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement disruption recovery plans during abnormal operations and delay situations, of which is focused on safety, customer needs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and coordinate operational irregularities to appropriate stakeholders within the airline.
  • Provide the tactical operational oversight necessary to achieve company determined safety, on time performance, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Monitor the short-term schedule to verify that the aircraft are routed in an efficient and effective manner based on route requirements and technical operation’s needs.
  • Processes daily operation reports.
  • Facilitate daily and irregular operation calls when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate solid leadership skills in high paced environment by remaining focused, calm, and even-tempered within the daily operations. Leads by example.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Three to five years of airline operations experience
  • Previous SOC experience (Duty Manager, Dispatcher, Crew Schedule Supervisor)
