POSITION SUMMARY

Incumbent is responsible for all areas of the property's social media and digital marketing. Work requires superior communication and judgment skills as position's primary responsibility is grow the STC brand by driving engagement and digital presence. Additionally, the incumbent assists with the execution of various casino promotions, video production and graphic design. Reports to the Marketing Manager, Assistant Director of Marketing and Director of Marketing.


This position will occasionally cover the Guest Services and VIP Desks; a Class C Gaming License is required.


GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop content for marketing the property that drives audience engagement with STC website and regularly scheduled posts across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google, TripAdvisor, and other sites as assigned.
  • Maintain all STC marketing content on shared drives and storage devices.
  • Work with our ad agency and other outside vendors to create, edit and share assets for marketing purposes.
  • Coordinate guest service program by monitoring social media, Google reviews, Trip Advisor, secret shopper reports and guest comments while ensuring appropriate responses are made by soliciting departments for feedback. Follow up with departments to ensure guest concerns are addressed with the staff.
  • Monitor community feedback in real-time and always respond/engage with the audience. Research and issue accurate and timely responses to guest questions and concerns received via social platforms. If unavailable to interact on social media or any other platform, must communicate with supervisor and establish a plan for coverage to assure timely responses to the public.
  • Schedule, produce and edit video and photo content that may be used for all departments and marketing collateral.
  • Establish, maintain and collaborate effective communication and professional relationships with internal departments.
  • Coordinate with other departmental leaders to photograph/video property venues, team members, winners and casino events for posting to social pages and website.
  • Publish event photo albums within a timely fashion and maintain a collection of promotional / lifestyle images.
  • Utilize third party apps to develop and execute engaging, social media contests that achieve defined marketing goals.
  • Supervise and deploy the digital assets for all promotional campaigns.
  • Create a daily content calendar for all social platforms.
  • Measure website and social media efforts and deliver actionable insights. Make specific recommendations on how to improve online activity by regularly monitoring and analyzing brand/competitor information and conversations.
  • Present social media progress reports and competitive analysis reports weekly to the Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing.
  • Stay current with industry trends in social media advertising and online strategies.
  • Maintain the integrity of the STC brand.
  • Assist the Marketing team with special event efforts.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays, as schedule requires.
  • Fundamental understanding of print design processes and materials.
  • Assist in the design of digital and print collateral.
  • Conduct website maintenance and copy updates.
  • Works on the casino floor conducting all functions of the marketing department: new member enrollment, issues comps and free slot play, answers questions about the Sun Club, reviewing offers, prints and distributes Sun Club cards and preforms general customer service functions.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Graphic Arts or related field and three years' experience with social media, graphic design, website maintenance and email marketing - OR - Willing to consider a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform in the position successfully;
  • Demonstrated experience in all areas of social media;
  • Hard-working, fun-loving people person who is able to deliver amplified service;
  • Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven understanding of casino marketing principles. Preference will be given to applicants that have demonstrated casino marketing experience;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment business that operates 24/7;
  • Must be available to work a variable shift that is focused on special events and business demands;
  • Must be proficient in office procedures, equipment, computers and applicable software applications such as Microsoft Office products;
  • Proven success using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. Portfolio Required;
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints and to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers in a timely manner;
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Read, write and speak English fluently;
  • Ability to meet deadlines as required;
  • Must be detail orientated, creative, artistic, motivated, and willing to work long hours;
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Employment is contingent on receiving and maintaining adequate licensing, including any required gaming license (Class C Gaming License);
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Tribe Casino;
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations;
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Casino;
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not encouraged or permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco products;
  • Refer to the Internal Control System and Policy Manuals for guidance;
  • Take the appropriate steps to report exceptions, fraud, acts of wrongdoing, and potential violations of regulations or internal controls to the appropriate levels of management;
  • Uphold high standards of ethical behavior, demonstrate an understanding of the impacts of problem gambling, and have knowledge of the Casino's programs to address problem gambling;
  • Establish rules for promotions and events that conform to Casino policies and regulatory requirements.
