SUMMARY
Social Media Insights Analyst will be responsible for the creation and on-time delivery of high-quality, social media strategic reports (including ad hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly) as well as serving as a partner to our client by offering strategic advice and recommendations based on social media insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Measures of Performance Reporting (50%)
- Review, analyze and report website and social media metrics measuring the impact of campaign performance and effectiveness using the relevant social media analytics and insights.
- Provides regularly scheduled reports on existing program, series, and micro-campaigns on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc (special) basis.
- Provide reports on the effectiveness of the Command’s efforts to influence the opinions and actions of foreign target audiences.
- Work with the Regional Task Lead, Digital Engagement Specialist and Magazine Editor to provide timely, regular measures of performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) via social media platforms utilizing analytical tools to determine messaging effectiveness and assess behavior change.
- Provide daily monitoring of some client social channels, posts, forums, and discussion groups.
- Take on primary and back-up roles for various client social channel campaigns as the candidate’s role and experience grows.
Social Media Monitoring/Social Listening (25%)
- Conducts daily community monitoring and active social listening of client social channel communications, with emphasis on replies & comments.
- Evaluates community feedback on social channels that identifies potential influencers and alerts/reports content effectiveness to the team & client in a timely manner.
- Regularly provides insights gained from social media monitoring to internal team members and client through email alerts and ad hoc/special reports.
- When directed, engage in dialogue and answering questions where appropriate.
Execute Social Media Campaigns (15%)
- Create paid campaigns, particularly using Facebook Ad Manager for Facebook and Instagram
- Manage a specific client social media channel (Instagram) with duties of creating editorial calendars, writing and scheduling posts, and hashtag research.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Have a real passion for social media and be on top of all the latest trends knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Instagram, Pinterest, WhatsApp) and how they can be employed at the business level to affect behavior change with a select demographic segment
- Excellent social analytical skills, attention to detail, time management, and creative copy writing/post creation experience
- Familiarity with basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and inbound marketing principles.
- Familiarity with 3rd party social management and scheduling applications such as Hootsuite, Marketo, TweetDeck, BuzzSumo, Sprinklr, etc.
- Excellent technical skills using social media’s native analytics on Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Ability to learn new social media tools and applications quickly.
- Strong MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Marketing, Advertising, Psychology, Communications or related field
- 3-5 years experience with executing and analyzing multi-channel social media marketing campaigns for brands
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with the US military
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularity Photoshop and graphic design is a plus
- Basic familiarity with content creation – imagery with graphics, video, GIFs, etc.
- Basic familiarity with Facebook/Instagram Creator Studio
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO principles
