Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing team. You will be responsible for creating social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of the company’s social media platforms. Your passion for social media as a communications tool will result in the adoption and implementation of social media best practices across all social media channels. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a versatile creative writer, an out-of-the box thinker, and a team player. You will be an active participant in data collection and analyses to consistently improve the company’s social media practices, performances, and growth. Note: Fremont Street Experience’s combined Social Media Followers total more than 1 million+ ranking it as one of the top followed company’s in Las Vegas.

Requirements:

Experience & Knowledge:

a. Practical experience and/or working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Tik Tok platforms.

b. Familiarity with Email marketing campaigns.

c. Create and manage daily, weekly, monthly content calendar.

d. Experience managing Social Media budgets to optimize spend and boost high performing Posts.

e. Familiar with SEO fundamentals and tactics.

f. Proficient in interviewing subjects for featured stories as part of editorial content.

g. Understanding of Brand positioning and tone (irreverent sense of humor preferred).

h. Staying up to date on best practices, emerging trends and technology.


Content curation/creation:

a. Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities.

b. Create and curate content.

c. Practical use of editing software (both audio and video).

d. Familiarity with photography and videography (including live streaming) for use in social graphics and content.

e. Practical knowledge involving community influencer/outreach programs.

f. Manage, direct and steer online reputation of the company.

Strategy:

a. Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.

b. Create community influencer/outreach program.

c. Proficient in content marketing theory and application.



Research, data & analytics (overall performance):

a. Demonstrate social networking experience and social analytics tools use and application.

b. Working knowledge of HTML, WordPress, CSS, JavaScript.

c. Exhibit strong analytical skills to be able to interpret social media, digital and website data to optimize reach, impact, engagement and exposure.

d. Work closely with company’s Digital Advertising Agency Partner summarizing Social Media Performance reports and developing online/social strategies.

e. Work closely with company’s Public Relations Agency to optimize exposure for the destination ensuring that social media and PR strategies are aligned.

f. Analyze campaigns and translate qualitative data into strategic social strategies.

g. Monitor and report on performance of competitor sites.

h. Create benchmarks and define ROI based social goals.



Writing skills

a. Must have strong writing and content authorship skills.

b. Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.

c. Great storyteller.

d. Author Blogs and editorial content.

Education & Training:

  • Four-five years proven working experience in social media marketing or as a media content specialist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, social media management or business communications.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:

a. Assigned duties are primarily accomplished in an office setting. Must be able to maneuver around in an office setting, and work at a desk/workstation.

b. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment

c. May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.

d. Ability to perform the duties of this job in outside weather conditions including but not limited to cold weather and very hot weather.

e. Must be able to work varied hours based on our events.

f. Ability to work in an environment that varies noise levels from low to loud depending on the event or concert.
