Position is open to Remote, near one of our office locations preferred. LIBERTY offices are located in Irvine, CA/Las Vegas, NV/Oklahoma City, OK/ Tampa, FL/Uniondale, NY.
The role of the Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst is to actively manage software assets. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software licenses assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. The SAM Analyst will also develop and make recommendations to improve procedures for tracking software to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. The SAM Analyst will report directly to the IT Asset Manager.
Job Details:
- Responsible for the daily and long-term asset management of IT computer software within the organization
- Validate and control Software IT Asset Management database with all installs, licenses, and versions on an enterprise level.
- Perform periodic audits of the inventory to compliance to purchased license inventory/contracts.
- Ensure quality control for all data collected and recorded.
- Perform regular true ups on software licenses and licensing harvesting activities.
- Assist the ITAM Manager with developing and maintaining processes, policies, and standards related to IT Asset Management Software across the organization.
- Conduct research and analysis across multiple data sources to identify and track IT software.
- Participates in vendor audits and provides subject matter expertise across LIBERTY's software portfolio.
- Communicate directly with customers and/or business stakeholders in relation to IT software.
- Update incidents and tasks through the IT Software Management tool.
- Support tracking of asset inventory to reflect the actual entitlement counts that are in-use or available for use.
- Assist procurement in forming strategies to optimize software spend across the organization.
- Responsible to perform planning and coordination of all activities required to execute, monitor and report on software lifecycle process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Preferred - 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Required 2 Years of r elated experience, including prior experience reviewing and interpreting IT / SAM contracts to determine license attributes and entitlement rights.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Past direct experience with a Software Publisher Audit would be desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Train Desktop Support management and coworkers on procedures and policies.

Compensation:
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $76,389 - $99,305 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
