National Fuel is currently seeking a Software Developer for an outstanding career opportunity in our Information Technology department located at our Williamsville, NY location. As a member of the National Fuel team, you will enjoy an exciting and challenging work environment where top performance is recognized and rewarded. This is a full-time position with hybrid work model availability.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze requirements/user stories and the design of appropriate software solutions.
- Configure, code, and test software solutions.
- Analyze and resolve software application issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Engage in verbal and written communications with internal business partners and other IT staff.
- This position is hybrid and will have an onsite requirement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- High level of initiative, professionalism, and leadership with strong interpersonal/communications skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with moderate-to-strong technical competencies.
- Ability to learn a variety of new technologies.
- Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment. Effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Well organized and self-motivated with strong customer service, technical, project and analytical skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in environments utilizing Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Understanding of software coding standards and best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with Oracle PeopleTools software development technology.
- Knowledge of business processes and concepts in the area of Human Capital Management (PeopleSoft HCM a plus).
