Job Title: Software Developer

Work Location: Albany, NY

Client: Office of Cannabis Management

CONTRACT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Software Developer position within the Shared Application Services/New York Business Express (SAS/NYBE) Portal team will work with a group of developers to implement the Office of Cannabis (OCM) Online Applications. Using skills as noted in the mandatory/requested qualifications, the successful candidate will aid in developing an efficient application and approval

Process for the citizens of New York State who use the NYBE portal to start, run, and grow their business.

Experience Required:

72 Months of Experience writing complex SQL, PL/SQL, Packages and Triggers against an enterprise Oracle database

72 Months of Experience performance tuning complex SQL/PL SQL against an enterprise Oracle database, data analysis and root cause analysis

72 Months of Experience with Crystal Reports/OBIEE designing, developing, reporting with Oracle back-end, testing and deploying

72 Months of development experience in web services/API via SOAP/REST, with familiarity in XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, and WSDLs

60 Months of Experience working with stake holders to determine reporting specifications

60 Months of Web Development experience with HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, and AJAX

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Working with NYS Agency representatives to develop report specifications and understand Agency

Business rules.

Write complex SQL, PL/SQL, Packages and Triggers against an enterprise Oracle database.

Performance tuning report SQL/PLSQL to improve efficiency.

Ability to perform data analysis and root-cause analysis.

Develop and maintain reports using Crystal

Reports/OBIEE.

Configure Crystal Reports/OBIEE reports in NYBE System.

Developing applications in .Net

Provide knowledge transfer to Agency report developers.

Working creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment.

Work as a peer with other developers.

Create documentation and share knowledge with team members.

Providing Application support and being on call as required

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
