The leader in real-time TV ad data and analytics is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. We have a product that is changing how brands, agencies and networks measure and assess the impact of TV advertising campaigns. Our software uses proprietary audio and video analysis to monitor and extract TV commercials, movie trailers and other promotional content from TV.
We are looking for someone that is highly motivated and knows how to get things done quickly and efficiently. We
are not looking for a coding robot - we are looking for someone that's highly creative and has an insatiable appetite for learning new things and accomplishing challenging goals in a fast moving (and not always structured) environment.
As a software engineer on the TV Conversions team, you will deal with big data encompassing TV advertisement impressions, web site click streams, and other ad impression and user behavior data sources.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and building features using our client's conversion tracking data in conjunction with our Smart TV
- impression data.
- Working with very large data sets from both internal and 3rd party data
- Building algorithms that properly analyze, match and store data from multiple sources
- Integrate monitoring tools that improve application visibility
- Analyze, design and code improvements to scale performance as the amount of data grows
- Develop new capabilities and features around attribution of consumer actions in response to TV commercials.
Besides being highly motivated and valuing the equity opportunity, we are looking for someone that has:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.
- In depth knowledge and 4+ years of experience using Java and Object Oriented programming.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Java, Spring, and SQL.
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
- Experience with Amazon Redshift, Map Reduce, Spark, and Python is a plus.
- Experience with Live Ramp, Oracle BlueKai, Neustar, or other DMPs is a plus.
- Experience in problem solving and finding issues
- Knowledge of best practices of software development including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Target cash compensation range: $100,200 - 125,250 USD Annually
We are committed to providing competitive, market-informed compensation. The cash compensation above includes base salary, variable commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all full time iSpotters are eligible to participate in iSpot's equity plan to receive stock options. Non-exempt roles will also be eligible for (pre-approved) overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are influenced by different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
