Software Engineer III

OVERVIEW

Caribou Thunder is seeking a Software Engineer III to plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. This program is in support of a U.S. Space Force Missile defense program.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 9 years of experience
• OR Master’s plus 7 years of experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software
• Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Ensures software standards are met.

QUALIFICATIONS

• DevSecOps/CI/CD pipeline
• Agile Software Development Methodologies and Development Cycle
• C++, Java
• Developing GUIs using Qt framework
• Service to Service messaging using Pub/sub
• Database management using PostgreSQL
• RedHat Linux environments to include OpenStack or VMWare and OpenShift
• Experience implementing Ansible into CI/CD pipelines
• Server automation using GIT/Jenkins (preferable)
• Software Containerization using Kubernetes
• Experience working with Machine Learning applications
• Experience developing Multi-threaded/distributed systems applications
