We are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure overall project and product quality through the development and execution of manual test cases, discovery, and monitoring of defects. The ideal candidate must possess strong attention to detail and strong oral and written skills and be a self-motivated individual who can prioritize and work on multiple projects within any given release cycle.

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst’s responsibilities include the following:

• Understand and decompose requirements and design documents for the purpose of creating and executing test cases.
• Develop and execute clear and concise manual test cases and Automated test scripts to measure software quality and compliance to business and functional requirements and application design for enhancements or changes to applications.
• Properly document defects found to aid others in efficient resolution. Monitor outstanding defects through resolution and validate and update defects when resolved.
• Create and manage test data as needed
• Execute regression tests as required and provide recommendations for updates to regression tests.
• Reporting testing stats to the Software Quality Assurance Manager when required.

This position’s primary objective is to ensure high quality through manual and automated testing and to ensure that defects are not propagated to our client’s production environments. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and is currently fully remote however, a successful candidate must reside in the State of California.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Understanding of quality assurance and testing methodologies and best practices
• Ability to read and understand business requirements and technical design documents
• Demonstrated problem solving, analytical proficiency, and careful attention to detail a must
• Proven ability to write and execute detailed tests to confirm core functionality and new development
• Hands-on experience with a test ALM tool such as Quality Center is a plus
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with project managers, business analysts, technical staff as well as client representatives
• Excellent oral and written skills are a must
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Possess excellent organizational, time management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects
• Must possess a high-energy level, a strong sense of urgency, be self-motivated and work extremely well under pressure

Education

• BA/BS in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years experience in a software quality assurance analyst or software testing role
• Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) a plus but not required

Other

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Experience with state contracts preferred.

Familiarity with Medicaid terminology is a plus.
