We're looking for a talented and creative SOLIDWORKS DRAFTER to help us jump the curve in our next phase of growth by achieving design, quality and timing targets to continue to enhance our amazing product. You will be responsible for bringing your technical know-how and innovative approach to our multiple part manufacturing process creating accurate 3-D models and 2-D drawings of various products including fabrication and assembly drawing. Reporting directly to the Lead Engineer, you will play a key role to our frontline sales effort and the successful delivery of our projects by collaborating with the Manufacturing and Sales teams to ensure that TOMCAR remains the premium choice for our customers to go anywhere and back.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Stickler for the Details developing drawings that communicate the clear concept and capture the technical details while being responsible for the data vault.

• Self-starter with the ability to take projects from concept to completion on a multiple project basis

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

• Compute dimensions of materials and develop and review documentation of new machine designs, including bill of material, drawings, and operating manuals.

• Interfacing with suppliers and internal team members as needed

• Initiate and complete advanced machinery design, through concise communication with the sales team and customers.

• Work with the design and manufacturing teams to achieve project schedule delivery and meet business goals.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting, Engineering, Design or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years of professional drafting experience preferably in the powersports, industrial; off-road utility vehicle, or similar space.

• 3+ years in Drafting and SolidWorks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Highly organized and results-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects active at once.

• High proficiencies in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and mastery of professional writing skills.

• Able to commute to the office

ABOUT TOMCAR:

It all began with a top-secret mission in 1967. A specialized unit of airborne commandos parachuted behind enemy lines on a highly dangerous assignment. All six airdropped jeeps were destroyed upon landing leaving the unit stranded. Miraculously, the unit’s commander was able to construct two working vehicles from the wreckage, allowing the commandos to complete their mission successfully.

Twenty-five years later, the same commander used that experience and his resourceful thinking to create the first TOMCAR. This dependable, highly functional, all-terrain vehicle was exceptionally durable from its conception and has always been the strongest in its class.
