Job description
In this role, you will provide IT technical leadership and manage the overall solution design for various large-scale, cross-domain projects within the large global program. As an expert in warehouse management, material handling and transportation management systems, you should have in-depth knowledge of business processes, issues and challenges relating to warehouse operations as well as fleet management and scheduling. You should have in-depth design and configuration level knowledge and experience with one or more warehouse and transportation management systems. You are also able to work closely with business functions, IT business analysts, developers, domain architects, and IT consultants to design and build robust, architecture-aligned solutions to rapidly evolving business capability needs. You will report to the Sr. Director, IT.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for logistics capabilities with a vision of how systems will evolve and grow to meet future needs of the business; Drive strategic technological innovation, demonstrating a breadth and depth of knowledge in all things related to logistics.
- Reduce the overall project risk by carefully mapping out solutions, share implementation best practices, and recommend solution alternatives
- Develop project level solution architecture and system concepts
- Facilitate architecture design reviews
- Manage the key design decision process and design escalations
- Oversee operational readiness and implementation strategy
- Work with external consultants, systems integrators. IT professionals to design, build and deliver solutions. Ensure solutions are feasible and fit into long-term strategy with applications eliminating technical debt when possible
- Partner with IT Business Analysts to scope and define requirements, injecting thought leadership and out-of-the-box solutions to meet the business needs
- Manage infrastructure, cloud and security considerations and work closely with the security and infrastructure IT teams to specify requirements
- Lead the development team with discovery/requirements sessions
- Work closely with Enterprise and Domain Architecture teams in the recommendation, evaluation and selection of solutions relevant to the logistics space to ensure that the solution architecture aligns with technology and business capability roadmaps
- Integrate applications with a very large existing system and technical ecosphere - ensuring seamless integration of new and existing systems to eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure and integrity
- Mentor resources working on technical solution and act as the point person for cross-project technical issues/resolution
Qualifications
- 10+ years working in Information Technology, preferably with experience implementing large-scale complex ERP initiatives on a global enterprise level
- 5+ years of Supply Chain and logistics architecture experience at vertically integrated retail businesses; ideally working in an apparel and wholesale environment
- An understanding of Supply Chain and logistics trends
- Experience implementing packaged solutions that include ERPs (Oracle MOM, SAP ECC & AFS), Logistics (Infor Nexus), Warehousing (JDA, Manhattan), PLM (PTC), Master Data Management solutions and other packaged applications
- An understating of different integration methodologies including ETL, EDI, asynchronous messaging and service-based integration patterns
- Experience developing service-based, message-based and batch integration architectures using tools such as SAP PO, BODS, MQ, IBM Sterling, MuleSoft, Informatica, FTP, AS2
- Knowledge of selected coding languages (e.g. C, C#, JavaScript, Java)
- Some cloud platform experience (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) is helpful
- SAP functional and technical experience is desirable in this role but not essential

Pay: $160,000.00 - $172,000.00 per year
