Sorter ’s in Brooklyn Park, MN | $18.00/Hour
Our Sorter ’s workweek is Monday to Saturday with hours starting at 10:00 am until 5:30 pm This job is a Light Industrial type position that that pays $18.00/Hour and is a Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Sorter Duties and Responsibilities –
Job Description:
Main Functions:
The sorter separates and sorts printed material and small packages by reading alpha and numerical codes.
Duties:
o Manual handling of printed material and small packages throughout the sorting area. o Performs manual sorting, bundling and manipulation or printed material or other mailing products. o Promptly communicates shortage of supplies needed to complete job, such as tubs and tags. o Removes all old labels from tubs and sacks. o Places full tubs with sorted mail on numbered skids. o Places full sacks of mail in front of designated numerical gaylord. o Prepares gaylords and other bins for sorting mail, labels accordingly. o Transfers pallets throughout warehouse utilizing a pallet jack. o Maintain a minimum average of 90% productivity per goals outlined. o Maintains organized work area. o Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures, Including but not limited to: o TSA, Challenge Procedure, Restricted Items & Reward Program o Performs any other duties as directed by the Sort Supervisor and/or On-Site Manager.
Work Conditions:
o Schedule is Monday-Saturday. o Hours fluxuate, generally ranging from 9:30am to 5:00pm. o Depending on shift span, up to one half hour unpaid break and two paid fifteen minute breaks are allotted.

Skills/Abilities:
o High school diploma or equivalent (GED). o Previous mail or parcel handling experience preferred. o Must have excellent hand/eye coordination. o Ability to stand for long periods of time. o Manual dexterity and attention to detail. o Cognitive ability to proficiently sort items based on numeric sequence and other logical characteristics. o.
