Renhill Group is currently looking for caring, compassionate individuals to work on a long-term, permanent (for length of school year) basis as a Special Education Aide at Galion City Schools in Galion, Ohio for the 2022-2023 school year.

A Special Education Aide provides instructional, physical, and social emotional assistance in a caring and nurturing environment to meet the unique needs of students with Individual Education Plans.

No formal experience? No problem. Renhill Group's online training courses designed by current and former school district administrators will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to ensure your success in the classroom.

Current Yearlong/Long-Term Opening Locations:

• 1 Elementary School Classroom Aide
• 2 1:1 Middle School Classroom Aide
• 1 High School Classroom Aides

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BCI & FBI background checks

Renhill Group offers background checks at one of the area’s lowest rates ($55), if you do not already have them

• Aide permit issued by the Ohio Department of EducationRenhill Group will assist you in obtaining your permit if needed. Permit costs $25 and payment is made directly to the Ohio Department of Education

Possible Duties and Responsibilities:

• Redirecting student(s)
• Assisting teacher
• Sitting, stooping, walking briskly
• Pushing wheelchair
• Assisting student with academics, life skills, job skills
• Classroom duties: making copies, sorting/filing, running errands
• Direct care: lifting, diaper changing, feeding, etc.
