POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for quality assurance for the grounds maintenance contract. Inspect all aspects of grounds maintenance performed on a daily basis and ensure work is completed in a timely manner and meets the specifications of the contract. Support the organization in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct daily surveillance of crew operations to ensure all grounds maintenance work is completed in a timely manner and satisfies specifications of contract.
- Review work orders, (new additional tasks) and inspect associated work to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Inspect work performed using previous days Cutting Reports and identify any discrepancies. Work with the Project Manager to correct deficiencies.
- Brief the Contract Director on a weekly basis on the quality assurance program and provide feedback to the Director as to the performance of the crews and any observations or changes believed to be necessary.
- Complete Contract Discrepancy Report (CDR) for any areas of performance failing to meet specifications of contract and indicate the corrective action taken. Maintain a file containing all CDR’s and make them available to QAE upon request.
- Provide a monthly Compliance Inspection Summary report to corporate management.
- Conduct periodic inspections of the vehicle and equipment maintenance records to ensure all required maintenance is being performed on time and documented accordingly.
- Respond to inquiries from Government personnel and management.
- Adhere to all Federal, state, OSHA, and agency safety requirements and attend all scheduled safety training.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks as needed and when available.
- Prepare and deliver timely performance appraisals for direct reports and ensure performance appraisals are completed on time and in a quality manner. Coordinate with Human Resources to administer rewards and recognition, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, or terminations in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a security clearance.
- Associate’s Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience with tree and turf maintenance; irrigation systems; herbicides, related equipment; and safety/quality requirements
- Formal training/education related to Quality Control in grounds maintenance.
- 2+ years of experience in grounds/landscape maintenance preferable government contract related;
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.
