The Specialty Staff Consultative Pharmacist consults with patients, pharmacies and providers to provide patient care in the form of optimal medication therapy. The Staff Consultative Pharmacist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Specialty Staff Consultative Pharmacist applies clinical and operational expertise to ensure patients and their caregivers have the knowledge they need to begin their specialty medication therapy. Education will be directly provided to the patient/caregiver about their specialty medication therapy including management of side effects, administration, and goals of therapy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of OH, FL or AZ and reside in one of these states
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
• Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
• Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience working in a production/metrics driven environment,

Preferred Qualifications

• PharmD
• 3 plus years' experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
• Proficiency utilizing ScriptMed, Rx Nova, CRM (auto dialer program)
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Work Schedule

• This position requires coverage until 8:00pm EST 2-3 days a week. (Scheduled hours will be 11:30 AM – 8:00PM EST to cover that time frame otherwise, scheduled hours will be 10am-6:30pm EST). Mandatory overtime is required.
