Children’s Autism Center is looking for an energetic and confident Speech Language Pathologist with experience providing speech and language therapy to individuals with autism. Speech Language Pathologists will provide direct assessment, treatment and consultative services for individuals with autism in the Fort Wayne area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess communication abilities within the SLP scope of practice
- Develop functional and meaningful treatment plans to teach new communication skills to clients
- Recommend appropriate modes of communication based upon unique client abilities and needs
- Collaborate with other clinicians including but not limited to SLP’s, BCBA’s and RBT’s in order to maximize client progress toward speech and language objectives
- Complete and submit necessary documentation for services such as: billing/session notes, progress reports, assessment reports, and all other required documentation per organizational requirements
- Provide training to team members within the organization as needed
- Supervise (SLPA’s, CFY Candidates, Students) as needed
- Complete continuing education as required by ASHA and the Indiana Licensing Board
- Demonstrate an ability to give and receive feedback in a positive manner at all times
- Demonstrate the ability to learn electronic billing and data collection systems
- Show willingness to travel to different sites in and around the Fort Wayne area, with mileage reimbursement
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior Experience:
- 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism
- Experience collaborating with BCBA’s/ABA team is preferred
- Required Education:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
- Required License
- Indiana State Licensure, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)'
