The inhouse agency for Barbie and Dolls brands is a group of passionate, creative, innovative people who thrive on a challenge whether it’s creating an actual Malibu Dreamhouse or launching an all-new brand. The Opportunity:

The Barbie and Dolls Brand Creative Team is looking for an experienced midlevel Brand Designer with a passion for social, TikTok, as well as branding and graphic design. This role will collaborate heavily with Mattel’s internal Digital Engagement Group. Highly driven to take on conceptual ideation, and execution across social platforms. Must demonstrate a proven track record in developing strategically driven ideas and creative assets, with a strong understanding of social and digital best practices, graphic design, typography, as well as a passion for what we do every day – inspiring the limitless possibilities for generations to come!

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Strong understanding of social best practices and design principles is required
  • Knowledge and fluency on all social platforms, a passion for what’s happening in culture
  • Lead the conceptualization and creative development of big ideas that are on-brand, on trend
across social platforms
  • Execute asset creation against social strategy and brand guidelines
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects at any given time, and efficiently deliver on time especially given real-time, responsive nature of social landscape
  • Collaborate and partner with team of social strategists, community managers, copywriters,
producers, and fellow designers in a positive and productive manner
  • Maintain ownership of work from concept through final delivery while appropriately
communicating with supervisor to ensure alignment
  • Must have a love of culture, fashion, and brand storytelling


What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years minimum in Art Direction, Graphic Design or similar field
  • Design Firm/Agency Experience as Art Director strongly preferred
  • Branding, graphic design experience required
  • Digital and Social experience preferred
  • Strong Social and digital first experience required to create compelling, breakthrough assets with

  • Graphic design and an emphasis on motion graphics and light editing

  • Excellent computer skills: Adobe Suite, and all relevant software tied to graphic design, and
    content creation

  • Demonstrate ability to translate core branding equities and tone through a variety of digital marketing activations

  • Versed and on-top of current trends (art, pop culture, design & typography, advertising, social
    media, digital, entertainment, etc.)

  • Tapped into global youth-oriented design, marketing campaigns and trends

  • Ability to see large picture while not losing focus of details
