About the Role: The BFSI consultant role within the Domain & Consulting organization delivers strategic and tactical solutions to financial services clients across their business models – core value chain functions and enabling technology.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The consultant will be a member of a client delivery team and report into an experienced cards domain team lead. Below is some high-level scope of work:

• Identify underlying business needs to be addressed, challenge existing practices and ensure requirements will address the defined business problem
• Support Lab Product Owner to understand business problems, critically evaluating of business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view.
• Supports the Product Owner to validate requirements and proposed solutions with stakeholders and gain approval
• Facilitate managing the product backlog working collaboratively with the Product Owners and the delivery teams to ensure consistent understanding of the proposed solution and assist with elaboration, sprint planning activities etc.
• Active contribution in defining and updating the operating model and associated operating model and process documentation.
• Provide domain knowledge and analysis capability, typically to identify additional business opportunities
• Support the Product Owner to translate these business needs into project objectives, features
• Supports the Value Stream Architect to ensure requirements and proposed solutions are aligned with strategy and the Target Operating Model.
• Support options and resolution of key Business Architecture Decisions

Preferred Experience:

Credit Card Business experience required

A good understanding of payment instruments such as Credit card, debit card, prepaid, closed loop

Issuing- Card Ecosystem Understanding:

1. Product & Customer Origination

2. Application Processing & Fulfilment

3. Transaction Auth.

4. Transaction Processing

5. Fraud & Risk

6. Disputes, Collections & Reporting

7. Customer Service, etc

Acquiring- Merchants Ecosystem Understanding:

1. Product Services & Markets

2. Sales Enablement & Customer Acquisition

3. Boarding & Activation

4. Merchant Solutions

5. Process Payments

6. Services & Support

7. Manage Platform, etc

Experienced in working on any of the processing platforms like VisionPlus, HPS, Tsys-CTL Prime etc, FSS, FIS etc.

Solid understanding of business analysis and business architecture methodologies particularly analytical thinking and problem solving

Exposure to skills from multiple disciplines such as Operating Model, Process Design, Digital and Technology

Good understanding of banking operating model and process frameworks, along with techniques to analyse and improve (e.g. Lean)

Modelling – develop, define & document ‘As Is’ & ‘To Be’ process models and data definitions

Familiarity with BDD, TDD and construction of supporting Acceptance Criteria

Salary: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
