Job summary
We are looking for an individual who has experience working with healthcare partners to build, strengthen, and maintain strong partnerships with our payer customers. The right candidate will work with internal and external business leaders to identify and execute business development opportunities.

Key job responsibilities

• Develops and grows strong collaborative relationships internally and externally
• Manages end-to-end negotiation and contract management experience
• Oversees day-to-day relationship with payer partners
• Works on complex and large business opportunities. • Assesses and implements new ideas and innovative approaches.

About the team
Payer Relations represents Amazon Pharmacy and owns the relationships with healthcare Payers and pharmacy benefit managers. We ensure participation through pharmacy provider network access that allows Amazon Pharmacy to fulfill prescriptions for our customers through a customer centric, digital first customer experience.

• 5+ years of experience within pharmacy (Pharmacy Benefit Management, Pharmacy Provider Networks, Retail Chain, Pharmacy Programs Development).
• Understanding of Medicare Part D, Medicaid and other government payers.
• Understanding of Managed Care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; Strong writing and speaking skills.
• Strong analytic and financial analysis acumen.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

The base pay range for this position is $143,700 - 194,400 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
