Overview

Goldie Associates is seeking an experienced full-time Sr. Civil Design Engineer to work in our Seneca, SC office. The successful candidate will have a Professional Engineering license in the state of SC and at least 6 years of experience in water and sewer utilities design, and construction management. Must have experience working with regulatory agencies for permitting. Having worked with regulatory agencies in SC, GA, and NC is a plus. A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is highly desirable, but not required. Other experience that is desirable includes stormwater planning, civil site design, and surveying.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with key clients and securing new projects through interaction during projects, meetings, and phone calls,
• Responding to RFPs and participating in the development of proposals
• Designing water lines, sewer lines, water distribution systems, pump stations, and septic systems for municipalities, industries, and developers
• Creating sediment and erosion control designs and producing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), including calculation packages
• Developing contract documents, conducting the bidding process, and performing construction management of water and wastewater construction projects
• Conducting field visits to inspect construction progress and to certify constructed projects
• Having frequent interaction with regulatory agencies; writing project narratives, SWPPPs, and explanations for NPDES permits

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least six years of experience in civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
