One of my FinTech clients is gearing up for a 2 year growth phase. They are hiring for a Sr Data Analyst. This is a nearly created role which will have strong exposure & interaction with the executive team. In this role, you will help to lead the migration to new systems powering the next version of the operational model. My client is moving from a off prem MSP data set up to 100% cloud via Cloudera. The core of this role will be focused on designing / implementing a cloud business logic into production, strong focus on a designing / implementating a new ETL process, strong exp with re-mapping & file ingestion.

Responsibilities

• Work with current data warehousing MSP to assume support role for current business systems
• Partner with the executive leadership team and new cloud solutions provider(s) to establish roles and responsibilities for support & maintenance of all new & existing systems in the new operational model
• Collaborate with analytics internal team members to determine new and expanded systems needs to enable organizational analytic functions
• Serve as lead during implementation and integration phase for internal systems
• Work with current the data warehousing vendor to transition data functions to internal resources
• Assume data support responsibilities with Certified Vendors from the current data warehouse vendor
• Partner with the operational transformation team and new solutions provider(s) to establish roles and responsibilities for new operations model
• Collaborate with analytics resources to identify connections between operations and analytic needs
• Reimagine the core data management functionalities of the organization.

New Operational Model

• Administer internal information systems and serve as point of contact for user support
• Partner with internal resources and/or managed services vendor to plan development efforts
• Lead internal system enhancement and replacement projects
• Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure systems continually support organizational information management needs
• Serve as the SME on structure and function of the Data Warehouse environment
• Engage with prospective members and existing members with new contributions to ensure all steps of the data on-boarding process are completed successfully and efficiently
• Facilitate data maintenance and remapping efforts
• Monitor data ingestion process
• Serve as the SME on structure and formats for data assets

Required skills

Degree in computer science, information management or related field.

Experience troubleshooting and testing system integrations, ETL processes, exp with Big Data and analytic datasets.

Strong analytical skills

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

5+ years experience, background in data operations systems in an agile environment is a plus

Proven background participating in large scale initiatives and being self-motivated with little need for oversight

Please note this role is 100% remote but the hiring client does require all team members to meet up in person 2 - 4 times per year. They like to have the entire company meet in person a few times a year for kickoff meets and team building. It's roughly a 50 person company. And this has been a client of mine for nearly 4 yrs.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
