We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated person to join our team as a Senior Quality Assurance Analystwhere you will play a key role in delivering quality solutions to our clients by using your knowledge of applying quality assurance, testing and evaluation principles and practices to establish and implement a quality assurance program within the Health Analytic Systems and Technology (AST) group; you will also apply your skills directly on client-facing projects by leading and executing verification and validation activities. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices and an ability to adapt them to different types of client environments (federal, state, commercial, and non-profit/foundation). You will collaborate with both technical and non-technical staff to deliver high quality software and systems, which requires a high degree of technical aptitude related to systems and software development and a willingness to develop technical knowledge to meet project demands.

Responsibilities:
- Establish principles, practices, and procedures for a quality assurance / testing and evaluation function within Health AST
- Provide guidance and thought leadership to senior AST leadership, project leadership and project technical leadership to implement quality assurance principles
- Provide approach, staffing, and budgeting guidance for proposals and projects
- Collaborate with information and cyber security engineers to incorporate security testing, principles, and practices within the quality assurance program
- Create and implement quality assurance / quality control frameworks and processes, devise testing plans and test case templates / approaches for data platforms on projects while collaborating with technical and non-technical project staff
- Collaborate with data architects, data managers, technical and non-technical project staff to create and manage test data for use on projects
- Understand and provide constructive feedback on requirements from the testing and test automation perspective
- Utilize tools (e.g. JIRA) to create logs to document testing phases and defects and facilitate defect review on projects
- Prepare regular reports on test progress
- Execute test cases (manual or automated), evaluate product code, analyze results and prepare regular reports on test progress and outcomes
- Analyze bugs and errors for continuous quality improvement (CQI)

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or similar degree, or equivalent experience and skills
- At least 5 years of experience as a QA engineer or tester
- Experience implementing end–to-end testing framework and processes for enterprise data platforms including BI platforms
- Experience working with Agile and iterative development methodologies
- Knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC) including coding standards and reviews, version control, and testing
- Proficiency with automation frameworks and tools for test automation
This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $100,000 - $125,000. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
Various federal agencies with whom we contract require that staff successfully undergo a background investigation or security clearance as a condition of working on the project. If you are assigned to such a project, you will be required to obtain the requisite security clearance. Must be able to pass a public trust background investigation.
