STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Cato Corporation, a leading specialty retailer of value-priced women’s fashion apparel with corporate offices located in Charlotte, North Carolina, operates three concepts: Cato, It’s Fashion and Versona. The responsibilities of this position include month-end close duties, review and preparation of journal entries, assist in preparation of quarterly (10Q) and annual (10K) reporting, analysis and account reconciliations, monthly internal financial schedules, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates for this position will have 2-5 years accounting experience. Experience with Oracle financial systems is preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications. An accounting degree is required. MBA and/or CPA is preferred, but not required.
