Overview of the Staff Accountant opportunity:
- Own tasks for, and support period-end closes and finance reporting.
- Complete general ledger accounting including maintenance and posting the general ledger.
- Execute account reconciliations for balance sheets
- Create and implement procedures to improve overall efficiency and accuracy of company accounting processes.
- Comply with all internal processes, policies, controls, and US GAAP principles.
- Advise upper accounting supervisors of any errors, significant adjustments, or journal entries as the occur.
Staff accountant skills and qualifications
- 2-4 years accounting experience
- Preferred degree in finance or accounting
- Able to function in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and able to be nimble in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong personal time management and organizational skills
