Job description
Summary: The Staff Accountant assists the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data in the general ledger. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in assisting the Chief Financial Officer with the timely and accurate production of monthly financial statements. The work involves performing detailed assignments in recording, classifying, examining, and analyzing financial records. The Staff Accountant helps to prepare month-end and year-end financial statement work papers. The Staff Accountant also assists as Accounts Payable backup when needed.
Education: Associates Degree of Science in Accounting or related field required, Bachelors Degree preferred.
Experience: One to two years’ experience as an Accountant is preferred. Strong analytical skills, Advanced technological proficiencies, inclusive of Microsoft Office and Close attention to detail
