Responsible for restaurant and corporate accounting including monthly close procedures, account reconciliations, tax filings, license renewals, treasury accounting, and other daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial report reviews, reconciliations, and enter journal entries
• File sales tax returns and real estate property tax
• Submit sales figures, analyze and remit royalties & advertising payments each period
• Review daily bank activity
• Reconcile and post entries for bank activity at period end
• Ensure proper recording of intercompany transactions
• Complete business property tax declarations and renditions
• Enter and reconcile capital expenditures
• Period end closing journal entries and reconciliations
• Provide audit support (preparation, reconciliations, research) for yearend financial statement audit
• Manage landlord relationships and ensure proper payment of monthly rents; reconcile CAM and percentage rents
• Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting/finance or related field
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Positives but not required:
• High transaction volume environments
• Multi-unit environments
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar accounting software
• Experience aggregating data from disparate sources (business intelligence systems, bank and vendor sites)
